The Lathe

Helix uses a Mcdougall 1373 tail shaft Lathe salvaged from the ship construction industry. The lathe has been retro fitted with an electric drive on the carriage, and has a 24', bed 36" swing over the cross slide and 48" swing in the gap.

Tracer Attachment

With the use of a router mounted on a tracer attachment custom shapes from ketchup bottles to chess pieces can be traced into a log.

Radius Turner

Built by Dan Neufeld to construct stools for the Bill Ried Gallery in Vancover this radius turner works really well to produce radii on wood products up to 20"
